2022 National Organic Research Agenda (NORA)

Research • Information Design • Publication • Data Visualization

I managed production and communications for the 2022 National Organic Research Agenda (NORA), a 232-page national report examining the challenges facing organic and transitioning-to-organic farmers across the United States. More than 1,100 producers responded to the national survey, while another 100 participated in 16 listening sessions across the country. The report identified 28 recommendations and priorities spanning research, technical assistance, and policy.

NORA was produced as both a downloadable and printed publication, distributed to research participants and stakeholders, hosted as a web resource, and presented directly to policymakers. The project brought together research analysis, editorial production, information design, data visualization, equity-focused contextualization, and strategic communications to transform extensive producer research into an accessible resource for diverse audiences.
